Golf Community Planning and Design

Larsen Design Associates has twenty-three years experience in the design of award winning golf communities. This experience has led to an understanding of the elements required for a successful golf community today.
The master plan must balance the best possible golf course design with a residential community. Together, they must take full advantage of the golf experience on the same piece of ground.
The local government must be brought into the process at an early stage. Most communities will need to amend their zoning to a planned development or unified development zone to allow the project to proceed.
Water quality, soil conservation, water usage, sewage treatment, woodland preservation, wetlands protection, visual impact and open space management issues must be made part of the design process to give neighbors the understanding that the development will have a positive impact on their community.

Tattersall Clubhouse is open ! The historic John Beale Bordley House

The Bordley House renovation by architects JTA Associates included the construction of a new wing housing
the Pro Shop, locker rooms and management offices. The project landscaping designed by Larsen Design
Associates, features an outdoor dining terrace with views of the golf course and Broad Run Valley.
