Craftsman Farms - Gustav Stickley Estate

Paths

Temple Universty Landscape students under my direction prepared an Historic Landscape report detailing the history of the estate of Gustav Stickley, the leader of the Arts and Crafts movement in the United States. The Craftsman Farms Foundation is slowly implementing the recommendations for restoration and maintenance of the property. The planting plan (top right) is a restoration of the foundation planting shown in the left photo. The earlier photo (bottom left) was taken before the original foundation planting was installed. A non original driveway was removed and the original gravel paths were restored in October 2004 (bottom right).
